Yen Phu and Yen Tu are father and son ^[1]:
mountains – with the son the taller of the two,
a propitious sign of family luck and fortune ^[2]…
it’s not by chance we call them sacred!

“Father and Son” Mountains

1. Phu and Tu in Vietnamese mean “father” and “son.” Yen Phu Mountain is in Kim Mon, Hai Duong
Province. Yen Tu Mountain is indeed taller.
